Quality & environment

What is quality? How important is it?

People who work with quality on a professional level, tend to define quality as: "When products correspond with the beforehand set specifications we have quality". With such a definition quality is something absolute. Something is either quality or not quality. What is missing in this definition?

Two important elements are missing:

  1. That quality has nothing to do with experience, and
  2. That quality can be good/bad on different levels.

Therefore we have the following quality goal:
Our quality is to be experienced as the best by our target groups.

This expresses our customer focus on quality. We acknowledge that it is not enough to calculate and prove that we deliver quality. It must also be experienced. We also acknowledge that quality experience has something to do with expectations. Therefore we have high ambitions when we say that we want to deliver the best quality.

Why quality?
Lack of quality, or poor quality is expensive. It is expensive for us and expensive for our target groups: dealers, customers, architects and health/environment/security personnel. To correct mistakes are much more expensive than to do it right the first time.

Environment

Respect for the environment in general is an important criteria when it comes to all product development and all other company activities. Savo products make use of environmentally friendly and recyclable materials and resource friendly methods of production. Products are developed with long technical endurance and we work with environmental improvements continually.

EPD - Environmental Product Declaration

The market demand for environmental declarations for products is increasing. Life cycle analysis (LCA) is an international tool for measuring the environmental impact of a product or service. The intention is to quantify the environmental impact measured in CO2-equivalents. The LCA is the basis for the EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) and the EPD is made according to the ISO 14025.  Savo has verified EPD for most models.
