Do you have a particular design philosophy?

Our work at LundbergDesign is characterised by Scandinavian simplicity. I find combinations of different materials exciting and I like to create contrasts between different materials and surface treatments.

What’s important when designing a chair?

Working according to a clear brief and hitting what you’re aiming at in the chair – its shape, purpose and functions, and ensuring a good interplay between these aspects.

‘Tomorrow’s office chair should work a bit like a smartphone. It should be intuitive, easy to use and suit everyone. And it must have feeling. That was our starting point with Savo Soul. Simplicity was our guiding principle all the way, and while ergonomics and quality were given top priority, we made sure not to lose Savo’s soul. A real challenge, whose outcome I look upon with pride today!’

Olle Lundberg, designer Savo Soul

What were your thoughts when designing Savo Soul?

The basic idea was to create a smart office chair that could be adapted to the customer’s needs. Which is why it comes in so many variants with a range of accessories and versions. For example, it’s available with a mesh back or with fabric-covered armrests. Savo Soul is a multi-functional chair that meets the requirements demanded by major procurements. It has a more complex, technical expression because of the many features integrated into the design.

Tell us about the new Savo 360!

Savo 360 is designed to express simplicity, a unique design and flexibility. Its circular shape helps it blend easily into different settings without demanding too much visual space. The goal was to create a simple, attractive chair whose design works as a crossover between different applications and suitable for use as a chair for the office, meeting room or lounge.
